Mr. Fong has more than 35 years of experience in managerial and corporate planning roles.
In 1986, he joined Sime Darby Berhad as Cost & Management Accountant. He was promoted as Finance Manager in 1990 for Sime Hyundai Wood Industries Sdn. Bhd.
Mr. Fong joined Hong Leong Group as Finance Manager for Malaysia Pacific Industries Sdn. Bhd. in 1992. He was then appointed as General Manager for Guolene Paper Products Sdn. Bhd. in 1996.
In 1999, he joined Genting Sanyen Packaging Sdn. Bhd. as Senior General Manager for 8 years handling business administrative and daily operation procedures.
Mr. Fong was appointed as Finance Director for SCA Asia Packaging located in Shanghai in 2007.
In 2009, he joined GS Paperboard & Packaging Sdn. Bhd. As Executive Vice President in the Packaging Division. He was re-appointed as Executive Vice President in Corporate Planning where he leads projects and planning for the operation in 2012. Subsequently, he was appointed as Chief Financial Officer of GS Paperboard & Packaging Sdn. Bhd. in 2014.
